Greetings,
The News...April commenced whilst we were having a marvelous time in Japan. I was so grateful to get on the plane following my previous flight suspensions, and the destination definitely ensured my heart was filled. We started in Osaka checking out the architectural wonders and then visited Kyoto to see the monkeys in Arashiyama and Nara to see the roaming deer. When then headed north on the shinkansen to Tokyo after a fire evacuation at 4:30am in the morning. Seeing the dinky little fire trucks and efficient fire brigade and emergency personnel that get around the narrow streets was mesmerising in itself. Thankfully they got on top of the fire early so all was well. Tokyo was museum, gallery and shopping time, ending with a cooking class since we were enjoying so much we decided to sign up to learn how to make some delicious traditional dishes. Whilst in Tokyo I was blessed to get in touch with a couple of friends I met in Japan, probably back in 2009 when I first went over to teach with the Reconnection teaching team. I got to catch up with one friend in Tokyo and then another invited us to viist the island of Kyushu, so we got to visit Miyakonojo, Aoshima, Miyazaki and Kagoshima. We had exquisite local food, went to shrines, beaches, an active volcano at Sakurajima island, black vinegar factories, traditional lodges in the mountains that had a crystal sauna and natural hot springs in ancient timber buildings and baths. The onsen experiences were my heaven. I felt relaxed, recharged and energised to return home. Being my family's first trip they are both keen to return one day to venture to even more parts of Japan; perhaps after we visit other wonders of the world ;-)!!
Mid April I had the pleasure of running a Girls JOY workshop with a wonderful group of girls. Sharing and inspiring them on their first journey in womenhood is always a blessing in my eyes. It's a very interactive workshop with informational and creative play sessions. They learnt meditation practises as well as kinesiology and healing for self care.. Such a joy to share and be present with young, inspiring souls... :-)
Then clinic commenced in full swing and as always i'm loving it. My studies have continued as I'm hoping to get to Cyprus at the end of this month. Therefore clinic will be closed from the afternoon of Thursday, 21st May until the 1st June; all being well. That means I better continue to have my head in the books in preparation to learn more at the SOZO Brain Center in both Limassol and Nicosia.
