October 2026 Newsletter
Greetings to YOU,
The News...September was an incredibly busy start to spring having attended the Australasian Society Neurology Conference (ANSA) with some inspiring speakers on various topics. I particularly enjoyed
Then I attended a one week all level Neurofield masterclass through the School of Neurotherapy, taught by Dr Tiff Thompson and Dr Nicholos Dogris. I learnt more about taking EEGs, more on neurostimulation and neurofeedback; yet still feel there is a lot more to learn about reading and interpreting the data. The brain is so wondrously intriguing and my brain always feels it has room to learn more...
I was fortunate then to have a two week break in Bali Indonesia. My daughter and I volunteered at The Green Lion Turtle Conservation Centre at Nusa Penida. It was a wonderful experience with young Hawksbill turtles. Everyday we spend a couple of hours in the morning and afternoon, cleaning the turtles, their tanks and coral and feeding them fish. We also learnt to catch crabs both on the beach and in low tide to feel the turtles. On our second week we also got to release some that were ready for their adventure into the big wide world, all on their own. I won't deny that I was rather emotional as I hoped and prayed that they'd make it; knowing that generally the turtle survival statistics are rather slim considering the predators and amount of pollution in the world these days. Whilst we were there, we were honoured to experience an "ocean silent day" where no boats are allowed on the ocean and no swimming in the ocean either. The locals around the island honour the land, the sea, connection and spirit. We also got to meet other volunteers from all around the world and all ages. Issy & I loved making local Balinese friends and friends from Austria, Argentina, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Madagascar, Morocco, South Africa, USA, UK as well as other Australians. Issy was the youngest at 14 and the oldest participant we met was 73. It was such a valued experience, I'd highly recommend the program if anyone is ever looking for a safe option not only to support locals, but support conservation of marine life. We had weekends off and we were blessed to explore more of the island and snorkel with huge manta rays and see many species of fish and coral besides the turtles and dolphins. I also felt honoured to meet a chiropractor from Argentina also attending the program so an adjustment was had... :)
Hubby then flew over to join us on the mainland for a family wedding in Nusa Dua. It was delightful to see many family members and friends whom I hadn't seen for several decades. It really makes us appreciate connection, and celebrating LOVE is always a beautiful thing.
Since my return, I've been flat chat in clinic, loving being back and sharing some of the new techniques and information that I learnt prior to my break.
The Views... Making time to actually slow down and stop was actually delightful and reminded me that it really is imperative for our health. In fact the research has shown that slowing down from our fast paced world actually is imperative for our brain health. Not only does it allow us time to listen to all around us, but allows us time to listen from within... In order to stay healthy we need to make the time to hear what our body is conveying...
The Upcoming... Hopefully my EEG device will be in action soon to offer brain mapping for anyone who may choose to find out more.
I will be away on the 13th & 14th November at the innovators Summit 2026 in Brisbane.
Much love as I wish you an outstanding rest of October!! :-) Bronwyn :-) xo |
