Happy August,
The News...
I can hardly believe it's the time of year when the magic of nature has arrived... YES, the FIREFLIES are back!!! As many of you know each year, I'm mesmerised when we spot them as they truly are an incredible wonder... It activates the sparkle of the moment for me!! So if any of you happen to come into clinic at the end of the day they only appear at dusk so ensure your car lights are off and take a moment to stop in the middle of the driveway and look up into the trees or down towards the creek to see if you can spot them glimmering towards you... :)
A huge thank-you to all of you who voted for me in the 2025 Ausmumpreneur People's Awards. I did not place in my category, but I placed in clinic as I am the one honoured to see YOU!!! A huge congratulations to all who won their categories, and incredible inspiration to be included with all the incredible Mum-preners around the globe. We are all amazing - whether we're out there or not. The fact is we know that we are doing our best in the juggle of life. Sometimes we feel like we're rocking it, and other times the juggling act falls in all directions, just to add spice to flavour our experiences. :)
This week I'm heading to Sydney to attend the Neuro Inspire Summit. I am especially looking forward to hearing and learning from Dr Kyle Daigle, Dr Brandon Brock, Dr Sharik Peck who are incredible minds that are having miraculous success with challenges cases of all ages that they are seeing in the clinics overseas.
Clinic will be CLOSED from Thursday, 21st August - Wednesday, 3rd September as following the conference I will be heading to the Northern Territory for a break. I'm looking forward to the warmth and showing family around some old stomping grounds.
The Views...
In the last month I have been learning a different perspective about psychological awareness and perception with Valerii Arvat. Last week our homework was to assess our "aspirations" and "emotions" as we were going about each day. What was interesting, was he was explaining the patterns that we often express in our day.
When we are in the 'I demand...' phase if we don't get our way we tend to want to destroy those around us as our reaction.
When we are in the 'I want...' phase, if we don't get our way we tend to want to hurt those around us.
When we are in the 'I ask ...' phase, we tend to want to push away or reject those around us.
When we are in the 'I wait...' phase, we tend to want to understand those around us more. Most of us tend to be in these four phases of aspiration throughout our day. Then as we evolve we can progress to
'I hope...', 'I believe...' or 'I know...' phase.
I also found it interesting how from a state of 'stillness' it takes the same amount of energy to think negative as it is to think positive. The difference is the direction we choose to go - hence our awareness of our reactions can influence or psychology or state of mind/ perception.
The Upcoming...
