Welcome Winter...

 

The News...

Imagine warming up in a warm sauna with an awesome forest view... That, to me would fill my heart and soul. Warming oneself to the core and the view of nature is enough to calm our spirit.

 

I feel I'm needing the calm after the busy month of May. I loved sharing at the workshops I taught and then I enjoyed feeling nurtured and nourished with soul sisters at the 'Birthing the feminine spirit with Rebozo's' workshop with Naoli Vinaver from Mexico. Naoli is certainly is a loving heart that made us all feel safe and connected in the short time we spent together. If you ever have an opportunity to connect with her if she visits Oz again, I'd highly recommend it.

 

Then a few weekends ago my head was exploding with possibilities at a Neuroscience conference. As Chiropractors, we believe that the brain is the control centre of ALL possibilities, so learning to read QEEG's, which are scans of the brain was incredibly insightful. By learning to understand the waves that our brain is operating in at rest can help us understand how to address support many conditions - from anxiety, depression, epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, PTSD, addictions, ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions. iMedisync have a helmet that does the brain scan, but also uses photobiomodulation and neurofeedback as modulation tools. As you can imagine, my brain has been thinking about various ways that I can incorporate the knowledge that I learnt into practice with the tools and skills that I have. Hopefully you'll be up for new approaches in clinic the next time you are in... :)

 

The Views...

A couple of fascinating facts from last weekend's workshop were:1. Neural development in children needs more alpha 1 brainwaves, so my suggestion is to listen to some music that is in the range of 8-10 Hz. One that I searched on you tube and like is: Study Music Alpha Waves: Relaxing Studying Music, Brain Power, Focus Concentration Music (link below).

 

2.As we age we tend to lose alpha 2 brainwaves, so my suggestion is to listen to some music that is in the range of 10-12 Hz.

If you find some interesting tracks, please let me know; as I'd love to know more so that I can share with others too.

 

3.If you feel you need to relax more or calm the environment, then a great compilation on you tube that has been tested to have effect on brainwaves is: 8 Hours of Powerful Theta Waves Healing: Deep Meditation • Sleep • Rise Intuition • Improve Memory (link below).

 

 

 The Upcoming...
