Happy September,

The News...

I had a wonderful month attending the NeuroInspire Summit in Sydney, being inspired by fellow attendees as well as the presenters: Dr Kyle Daigle, Dr Brandon Brock, Sharik Peck and Tanya MacDonald.

Following the conference my beautiful family came to Sydney to celebrate a teenager’s birthday, and then we went up to Darwin for a friend’s wedding. The weather was warm and welcoming and the waterfalls at the cascades and waterholes were delightful. I had a great time, finding old houses and catching up with special friends from the past. We were privileged to have the right timing to go on a tour to Baresand Island, a 90 minute boat trip off Darwin to see flat back turtles laying eggs, and releasing some little hatchlings that hadn’t made it with their crew. Darwin’s relaxed, layed back vibe was good for my soul. I even managed to squeeze in a game of squash, which I hadn’t played in decades - just to remind my muscles that they can work :)! It was so fun.

Then the weekend after that we went to Brisbane’s Riverfire evening - enjoying the planes at sunset and then the magical fireworks show to open the Brisbane festival before the show was truly on, with our performance at the Common People Dance Eisteddfodd as part of the Brisbane Festival on Sunday 7th September. Our Gold Coast team were the best dancers in our opinion, and my bestie’s team the Southside won for their costumes we thought…. However the true winners were dancers and that we ALL were!! What a great event and incredible atmosphere to be a part of. If you’d like to watch us starring you can check out the full show on the link below. Our team features briefly at 5:33minutes in, but our main dance (not to be missed) is from ~27:00 until ~35:00. See if you can spot us…??

The Views...

This month I’m sharing the views I read in 'The Well-Lived Life - by Gladys McGarey.

Dr. Gladys McGarey, is a medical doctor with a strong holistic background from her parents, whom at 102 years old shared her six actionable secrets to enjoying lives that are long, happy, and purpose-driven:

-Spend your energy wildly: How to embrace your life fully and feel motivated every day.- All life needs to move: How to move-spiritually, mentally, and physically; to help let go of trauma and other roadblocks.- You are here for a reason: How to find the everyday "juice" that helps you stay oriented in your life's purpose.- You are never alone: How to build a community that's meaningful to you.- Everything is your teacher: Discover the deep learnings that come from pain and setbacks.- Love is the most powerful medicine: Learn to love yourself-and others-into healing.

I had several moment of acknowledgement and recognition, tears and inspiration. & since you know I love learning, i loved reading when she says: ' Learning helps us reach for what's next - and reaching for what's next helps us to [stay] alive'.

The Upcoming...
