Greetings to June, As one would expect in Winter I have been enjoying some hibernation & warm fires. The baby joey's are getting more confident as they race around between mums and dad, and other young wallabies are all fists & kicks... The joys of watching nature!! I am excited to share that I now have the Buteyko Breathing Courses available online. I am very grateful that over many months, commencing last year, a talented young patient of mine who's interest is in film making, helped me create something to offer as an online option; whilst he was waiting to commence his course at university this year. We recorded 2 sessions of an adult breathing course and one short children's breathing course. I've had many people enquire about attending the workshop, but with the current global situation, the group sessions have been on hold. Therefore it seems timely to introduce them as an online version. If you know anyone who would like to learn the simple, yet very effective Buteyko breathing exercises, please feel free to log in directly from my website. CLINIC IS OPEN: Clinic remains open by appointment with the most common days I'm working at present until the next school term being, Tuesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's. There have been some exceptions some weeks, so please feel free to contact me directly when you do want to make an appointment. Nutritionally, in my research over the past month, the books I have enjoyed on the free online digital library at www.archive.org are: 1) 'Food is Your Best Medicine' by Dr Henry Bieler - who outlines the benefits of greens once again to attain the best natural source of potassium, sodium and calcium. 2) The book I'm currently reading is 'Mucusless Diet Healing System' by Professor Arnold Ehret, and again green leafy vegetables and fruits are his main suggestion. He also was probably one of the pioneers promoting the benefits of fasting to allow your body to cleanse and clear the accumulated congestion. They both are old books, but tie in to the main principles behind the RBTI foundations. So the theme of this month (and should continue every month of the year to be honest) is go for the greens!! Green juices, greens in your soups... green, green green!! Greens are great for the chlorophyll, and they also have lots of calcium, magnesium and potassium which many of our organs require to function. Greens are also fabulous at activating your liver, which is our primary detoxing organ and blood cleanser... In addition, green represents growth and the heart chakra, so fill yourself with the bliss of green this month! Our health and wellbeing is intrinsically linked, not only to the food we consume, but the way that the body breaks down and utilises the energy provided. If your body is suffering from symptoms of ill-health, it is not using its energy efficiently. I am loving how the RBTI urine and saliva analysis can measure where we are at in the present moment, identifying the ups and downs so that we can then choose to make the changes required to bring us back into the happy, healthy, healing zone. Over the next few months each newsletter I will explain the "story" that each one of the numbers that the RBTI analysis reveals. Wishing you a Joyous June! Much love, Bronwyn :)
