Happy Autumn rising... 

The News...

As the temperature drops a few degrees, we notice a change is in the air. The weather is still somewhat unpredictable, but the magic that is present at our doorstep is that we are blessed to have a Crested hawk family with two fledglings at our door. Some of you may have spotted mum or dad in feeding mode flying in and out, and it reminds us how truly spectacular nature is and how blessed we are to witness it and live it!

The big upcoming news is that I will be moving my clinic space (at this point temporarily) whilst we have some work done around my home clinic.

So from 2nd April 2024 I will commence clinic at a space with Recuperate Health on the Ground Floor of Unit 5, 90 Township Drive, Burleigh Heads, Qld 4220. I will be in clinic there on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

It is about 10 minutes closer into town from all the main roads that head out to me, so it's nice and close to where you're used to. I appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at the new space. There is ample parking at the location at any parking space, except in number 6 allocation, and you're invited in to wait in the reception area. I'm still contactable on the same numbers, email and website to make appointments though. Photos of the block are in the pics below... (opposite the green wall & blue building of Coastal Fresh).

A patient who has moved south, Marie Clee has published a few of her childrens' books, and I thought I'd share her summaries for any of you looking for gifts for little people. All her books are available on Amazon ,as shared in the link below.

The Views...

I was thinking it would be interesting to present some short general information sessions, so on Facebook I asked what health topics people may be interested in. Following people's request my first sharing video was on Type 2 diabetes and some simple tips that may help you or for you to consider. I hope to continue these short facebook videos from time to time, once I see if I can improve my current internet connection as I believe the post was dropping in and out. If there are other topics you're interested in, please drop me a line to let me know.

Following on from last month, the next chapter of the Og Mandino book, 'The Greatest Secret in the World', after 'I greet this day with LOVE in my heart...' was 'I will persist until I succeed...' and this month is 'I am nature's greatest miracle...'. I'm enjoying the contemplation that each month's topic represents...

Another great book I've been reading this month is called 'Sacred Medicine' by Lissa Rankin, MD. She is a medical practitioner that explores the world of complementary medicine as well as her trained background as an obstetrician. I resonated with a definition she learnt from one of her mentors, Rachel Naomi Remen, MD:

 ' Helping, fixing and serving represent three different ways of seeing life. When you help you see life as weak. When you fix, you see life as broken. When you serve, you see life as whole. Helping and fixing might be the work of the ego and service the work of the soul'.

My aim is to be of service, as I love to consider the "whole" of each person in care. Therefore, I often check in with myself, to see if I'm focusing on the whole...

The Upcoming...

I will be collaborating with the Team at Sunny Skye's Wellness Hub and look forward to sharing in a couple of weeks what the first offerings will be.
